Health authorities in Daegu have announced special quarantine measures after more than 230 COVID-19 infections were reported over three days, including clusters at hospitals.

Daegu Vice Mayor Chae Hong-ho said Wednesday that a task force has been set up following the confirmation of 97 cases linked to four medical facilities, including the Daegu Catholic University Medical Center.

The task force will propose a four-point advisory that should be observed, and will run an inspection on 194 medical facilities in the city through September 6.

The advisory includes having employees, patients and caretakers enter only after testing negative for COVID-19, banning outside visitors, and allowing just one registered, virus-free caretaker for each patient.

Since the first case was reported at Daegu Catholic University Medical Center on Saturday, some three-thousand people are undergoing tests.
