The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 48-point-09 points, or one-point-56 percent on Tuesday, closing the day at three-thousand-138-point-30.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining 20 points, or two-point-01 percent, to close at one-thousand-13-point-18.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened eight-point-one won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-165-point-six won.
