The general public aged 18 to 49 who missed their designated days for COVID-19 vaccine reservations will be given a second chance from Thursday night.
According to the state vaccine task force on Thursday, about 60 percent of the 16-point-two million eligible people in this group have made appointments for their first vaccine doses since reservations began on Monday last week.
The group was divided into ten groups according to their birthdate and was allowed a one-day window to make reservations on the day that shares the last digit of their birthdate.
However, for two days from Thursday night, they will be divided into two groups and given another chance to make appointments with those aged 36 to 49 able to reserve from 8 p.m. Thursday to 6 p.m. Friday and those 18 to 35 the following day.
From 8 p.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. September 18, all remaining adults under age 50 will be allowed to make reservations.
Inoculations for the 18 to 49 group will occur from Thursday of next week to October 2 with the second shots to be given six weeks later. Either the Pfizer vaccine or the Moderna vaccine will be administered.
