The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining ten-point-03 points, or zero-point-99 percent, to close at one-thousand-21-point-08.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened eight-point-three won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-168 won.
