Pusan National University(PNU) said it will announce next Tuesday the results of an investigation into Cho Min, the daughter of former Justice Minister Cho Kuk.
The school has been investigating her admission to its medical school for nearly four months since April and will conclude the inquiry on Wednesday.
PNU said its admissions management committee will file a report to headquarters, which will then review the findings and announce a final assessment to the media next week.
The committee has also looked at recent trial results where an appellate court upheld a four-year prison sentence for the former minister's wife for academic fraud. She was convicted of forging documents to help her daughter get into medical school.
If PNU decides to cancel Cho's admission, her medical license will also probably be revoked. Korea University, which Cho Min also attended, is taking follow-up measures in the wake of last week's court verdict as well, to decide on whether to cancel her admission.
