South Korea's 2002 Asian Games judo gold medalist Choi Yong-shin won the gold medal in his 73-kilogram weight category at the 2004 German Open held in Hamburg, Sunday.
Choi defeated U.S.'s Jimmy Pedro for the win at the finals.
In the women's 52-kilogram division, fellow Asian Games gold medalist Lee Eun-hee took the bronze medal.
