COVID-19 vaccinations will begin for those in their early 50s from Monday, with authorities accepting reservations for those aged 18 to 49.

According to the state vaccination task force on Sunday, those aged 50 to 54 will begin to receive their first shot of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine from Monday.

More than 82 percent of three-point-eight million eligible people in the age group made reservations last month. They will receive their second dose six weeks after the first shot.

Meanwhile, vaccine reservations for those aged 18 to 49 are under way.

On Sunday, August 15, only those with birth dates ending in the number 5 can make a reservation from 8 p.m. through 6 p.m. Monday.

Those who fail to make reservations during the given dates may make appointments from Thursday to Saturday.
