A batch of 400-thousand doses of Johnson & Johnson's Janssen vaccine donated by the United States government arrived in South Korea.

According to the state vaccination task force, the batch arrived at Incheon International Airport at 12:47 p.m. on Sunday from Tennessee.

The task force said the newly arrived vaccines were provided as part of efforts to enhance the two nations' cooperative system in COVID-19 responses.

The U.S. Embassy in Seoul said on Saturday in a press release that the vaccines are "for use in the general population as part of the international partnership for fighting the pandemic."

The latest shipment marks the second provision by the United States following the previous batch of one-point-01 million Janssen doses.
