Politicians of Korean descent from around the world are set to descend on Jeju Island for a forum that begins on August 18.
Some 50 incumbent officials from 13 countries will attend the event, now in its seventh edition, taking place at Jeju International Convention Center for two days.
Hosted by the World Korean Political Council, this year's forum will discuss politicians' role in building peace on the Korean Peninsula.
Debates and lectures will be held while Vice Foreign Minister Choi Jong-moon will deliver congratulatory remarks. The venue for the next forum will also be decided in a vote.
In light of the pandemic, the forum will keep to a minimum on-site attendees and stream discussions online via Zoom.
