The government said on Wednesday that six companies will recall nearly 29-thousand vehicles for faulty components.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said in a statement that Hyundai Motor, BMW Korea and four other companies will voluntarily recall about 28-thousand-946 units of 35 models due to problems with vehicle parts.

The four other companies are Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar Land Rover, Toyota Motor and Honda Motor.

Hyundai will recall over ten-thousand units of its Grand Starex van for a fragile propeller shaft.

BMW Korea will recall some 56-hundred vehicles in 15 models including the 630i xDrive Gran Tourismo for a faulty brake vacuum pump.

The companies will notify car owners of the details via mail or text message. Vehicle owners can contact or visit designated repair and service centers to replace the parts free of charge.
