The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose five-point-79 points, or zero-point-18 percent on Thursday, closing the day at three-thousand-242-point-65.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining eight-point-45 points, or zero-point-82 percent, to close at one-thousand-44-point-13.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened eight-point-one won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-146-point-five won.
