K-pop boy band BTS' second English track "Butter" has returned to the top of Billboard's main singles chart.

Billboard said on Monday that "Butter" officially returned to No. 1 on this week's Hot 100 chart and has now tied with Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” for longest running No. 1 in 2021.

The song was at the top of the chart for seven straight weeks before it was replaced by BTS' own "Permission to Dance" last week and slipped to seventh.

"Butter" returned to the top spot for an eighth week, with "Permission to Dance" now ranking seventh.

The Billboard said BTS is the first artist to ever top the chart, replace themselves on the chart, then have the previous song return to No. 1 without having a song by another artist go No. 1 in between.
