The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 28-point-52 points, or zero-point-89 percent, on Monday, to close at three-thousand-246-point-47.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining five-point-71 points, or zero-point-55 percent, to close at one-thousand-34-point-64. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened two-point-one won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-147 won.
