The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 32-point-66 points, or zero-point-99 percent on Thursday, closing the day at three-thousand-252-point-68.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also dropped, shedding 12-point-88 points, or one-point-23 percent, to close at one-thousand-34-point-48.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened six-point-nine won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-145 won.
