The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose two-point-36 points, or zero-point-07 percent on Wednesday, to close at three-thousand-224-point-23.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ fell, however, losing three-point-49 points, or zero-point-35 percent, to close at 981-point-10. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened seven-point-four won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-113-point-three won.
