The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell two-point-89 points, or zero-point-09 percent on Wednesday, to close at three-thousand-168-point-43.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ rose, however, gaining three-point-99 points, or zero-point-41 percent, to close at 966-point-06. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened five-point-one won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-116-point-nine won.
