The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 27-point-02 points, or zero-point-86 percent on Tuesday, to close at three-thousand-171-point-32.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining 13-point-70 points, or one-point-44 percent, to close at 962-point-07. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened five-point-one won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-122 won.
