South Korean short track ice skater Choi Eun-gyung took top place in the women's 1,000 meter final event at the 5th Short Track World Cup Championships in Czechoslovakia Monday.

Choi won the gold in 1,500 meters on the first day of the championship and won another gold medal in the over-all individual event, bringing her tournament gold tally to three.

In the women's 3,000 meters race, another South Korean, Ko Ki-hyun, won the gold, outpacing her teammate Choi.
