The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 49-point-04 points, or one-point-52 percent on Wednesday, to close at three-thousand-171-point-66. 

This comes a day after the main stock market closed at a record high over the three-thousand-200 threshold.
  
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing nine-point-66 points, or zero-point-94 percent, to close at one-thousand-22-point-22. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened six-point-three won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-118-point-six won.
