Korean American golfer Michelle Wie has become, at the tender age of 14, the youngest player ever selected to play at the Curtis Cup, an amateur match between the United States and England.

The youngest previous player to play in the tournament was Laura Baugh, a 16-year-old who teed up at the Curtis Cup in 1972.

Another Korean American, 17-year-old Jane Park, was also included on the eight-member American team, which will compete against its British counterpart on June 13-14.

The Curtis Cup is held every other year.
