The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell eight-point-58 points, or zero-point-28 percent on Wednesday, to close at three-thousand-61-point-42.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing one-point-89 points, or zero-point-20 percent, to close at 956-point-17. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened one-point-eight won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-131-point-eight won.
