The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell eight-point-39 points, or zero-point-28 percent on Wednesday, to close at two-thousand-996-point-35.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ rose however, gaining seven-point-51 points, or zero-point-79 percent, to close at 953-point-82. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened three-point-nine won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-133-point-six won.
