South Korea will continue its AstraZeneca vaccination program despite a suspension of the product in some 20 countries.

The government's COVID-19 vaccination task force said in a statement on Wednesday that there have been no domestic reports of a correlation between AstraZeneca vaccines and blood clots.

Reports of death due to blood clots following AstraZeneca vaccinations have recently led Austria, Italy and other European countries to temporarily suspend the vaccines made by AstraZeneca and Oxford University.

Some 570-thousand people have been administered the vaccine in South Korea so far.

According to the task force, the World Health Organization has said there is no indication that blood clots were linked to the vaccines and that fear shouldn't be a reason to stop inoculation.
