The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 39-point-50 points, or one-point-28 percent, on Thursday to close at three-thousand-43-point-49.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing four-point-60 points, or zero-point-49 percent, to close at 926-po​int-20.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened four-point-eight won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-125-point-one won.
