Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun said the government will clearly investigate and determine the cause of two deaths following COVID-19 vaccinations, and reveal the outcome in a transparent manner.

At a meeting with officials on Thursday, Chung then urged the public to trust the government and actively take part in the nationwide vaccination program.

The prime minister called for continued vigilance against the virus, citing a warning by many experts that a fourth wave of the epidemic may come in late March or early April.

Referring to a resurgence following a six-week global decline, Chung said the World Health Organization(WHO) pointed to countries' hasty quarantine easing, the spread of variants and reduced public vigilance.
