Starting Monday night, the Seoul city government will ease restrictions on the nighttime operation of public transportation after social distancing in the capital region was adjusted from Level Two-point-Five to Level Two.
According to the Seoul Metropolitan Government, operations of buses and subways in the city will be reduced up to 20 percent after 10:00 p.m., instead of 30 percent after 9:00 p.m.
Restrictions for cram schools and movie theaters will be lifted, while restaurants, coffee shops, indoor sports facilities and karaoke rooms will be allowed to operate until 10:00 p.m. Restaurants and coffee shops can offer takeout and delivery service after that time.
Clubs and bars can reopen for business until 10:00 p.m., on the condition that they adhere to the country's key quarantine rules.
Under Level Two distancing, in effect until February 28, events involving a gathering of more than 100 people are prohibited. A ban on private gatherings of five or more people also remains in place.
