South Korea has reported its first COVID-19 death involving a patient in their 20s.

Busan City said the patient died on Friday, one day after testing positive for the virus, and the deceased is presumed to have died of acute pneumonia. 

The person reportedly had been treated for a cerebral hemorrhage for a year at a rehabilitation hospital in central Busan. The hospital has so far reported 25 COVID-19 cases since February 4.

Health authorities said the patient's health was not in good condition and the person also had a fever at the time of the virus testing.
