Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials(CIO) head Kim Jin-wook and Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-youl have agreed to launch working-level discussions on cooperation between their legal enforcement agencies.

In a meeting with reporters on Monday, Kim announced the outcome of their talks that lasted for nearly two hours at the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office earlier in the day.

Noting the "good mood" discussions, their first since Kim’s appointment as CIO chief last month, Kim said they agreed to actively cooperate on the transfer of cases.

He added, however, no concrete details were nailed down, adding the two agreed to cooperate on the mobilization of working-level channels. He said they did not firm up a possible follow-up meeting either.
