S. Korea's Daily COVID-19 Cases Below 400 for Third Day

South Korea reported 372 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, the third consecutive day the daily tally has been in the 300s.

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) said the new cases raised the country's accumulated caseload to 80-thousand-896.

Daily infections have been in the 300 and 400 range for the past week or so without a clear decline in the ongoing third wave of the epidemic.

Of the new cases detected throughout Saturday, 326 were local transmissions, while 46 were imported.

More than 260 of the local cases came from the greater metro area, with 141 in Seoul, 109 in Gyeonggi Province and 15 in Incheon. Other parts of the nation reported 61 cases.

Seven more deaths have been confirmed, raising the death toll to one-thousand-471, with the fatality rate at one-point-82 percent.

The number of critically ill COVID-19 patients stands at 190, down seven from the previous day.
