The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency(KDCA) said Thursday that the percentage of people testing positive for COVID-19 antibodies was point-31 percent, far lower than the ten percent global average.

It revealed the findings after conducting antibody tests in 17 cities and provinces in the country on 17-thousand-890 citizens and military recruits and finding that only 55 people had them.

Health authorities said the results are not comprehensive and do not reflect all of the third wave of the pandemic as the survey was conducted until December 12.

But it attributed the low antibody rate to the thorough observance of social distancing and quarantine guidelines.
