S. Korea Reports 458 New COVID-19 Cases

South Korea has reported 458 new COVID-19 cases, marking the third straight day the daily count has been in the 400s.

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) said Saturday that 423 local transmissions and 35 imported cases were reported throughout Friday, raising the country's accumulated caseload to 77-thousand-850.

Over 300 of the new cases come from the greater metro area, including 152 in Seoul and 136 in Gyeonggi Province. 

The death toll has risen by 15 to one-thousand-414 with the average fatality rate at one-point-82 percent.

The number of critically ill COVID-19 patients stands at 231, down eight from the previous day.
