KOSPI Tumbles over 3%, Dips Below 3,000

South Korea's leading stock market nosedived by over three percent on Friday and closed below three-thousand points. 

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 92-point-84 points, or three-point-03 percent on Friday, to close the week at two-thousand-976-point-21.

It is the first time the index dipped below three-thousand points since it's debut closing above the milestone on January 7. The index dropped for four consecutive days since Tuesday. 

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing 32-point-50 points, or three-point-38 percent, to close at 928-point-73.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened zero-point-eight won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-118-point-eight won.
