Unionized delivery workers are set to decide on whether to continue with a strike on Friday as a tentative agreement with logistics firms was produced overnight.

The workers were scheduled to launch an indefinite general strike from Friday.

The Parcel Delivery Workers' Solidarity Union said a tentative agreement was produced on Thursday night after six hours of discussions at the National Assembly among the union, logistics firms and officials from the parliament and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

The union said it will hold a plenary session of union members on Friday morning to vote on the agreement.

If the union members approve, they will withdraw the planned strike, and if they reject it, some 55-hundred delivery workers will launch the walkout as planned.

The union said the details of the tentative agreement will be unveiled on Friday noon if it is approved.
