South Korea reported around 500 new COVID-19 cases due to mass infections at religious educational facilities. 

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency(KDCA) said on Thursday that 497 new cases were confirmed throughout the previous day to raise the country's accumulated caseload to 76-thousand-926.

Of the new infections, 479 were local transmissions while 18 were imported.
