The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose one-point-64 points, or zero-point-05 percent, on Thursday to close at three-thousand-149-point-93.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining one-point-16 points, or zero-point-12 percent, to close at 980-point-29.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened two-point-nine won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-98-point-zero won.
