South Korea's exports edged up one-point-two percent on-year in the first 20 days of December.

According to tentative data from the Korea Customs Services on Monday, the country's outbound shipments stood at 30-point-eight billion U.S. dollars in the cited period, up one-point-two percent from a year earlier.

Compared to the same period last year, working days were down by point-five this year. Given the decrease, the daily average exports during the 20-day period grew by four-point-five percent.

Shipments of semiconductors and wireless communication devices jumped 26-point-four percent and 38-point-three percent, respectively, while exports of autos and petroleum products slipped three-point-five percent and nearly 50 percent, each.

Shipments to the United States grew by point-seven percent, while exports to China and the Middle East dropped two-point-three percent and 43-point-two percent, each.
