Goals from Choi Tae-uk and Cho Jae-jin gave South Korea's U-23 Olympic soccer team their second win in an eight-team friendly tournament in Doha, Qatar Saturday, defeating Switzerland 2-0 and all but guaranteeing a spot for the Koreans in the tournament's semifinal.

Head coach Kim Ho-kon's squad controlled the game from the early stages and took the lead in the 17th minute on long-range effort by Choi.

Choi, who scored a hat-trick in his team's 5-0 win over Paraguay on Tuesday, caught Swiss goalkeeper Alain Portmann off-balance with a drive from 35 meters out that went in off the foot of the upright.

The South Korean team is using the tournament in Qatar as part of its preparations for the Olympic qualifying round, which begins in March. China, Malaysia and Iran are in South Korea's qualifying group, from which only the top team will go on to the Olympics in Athens.
