Taeneung Athletic Village Kicks Off Training for Athens Olympics

The Korea Amateur Sports Association (KASA) held an activation ceremony on Monday to launch training for South Korea's Olympic contingent at the Olympic Hall of Taeneung Village, with 284 athletes and coaches in 12 different sport categories in attendance.

Also on hand at the ceremony were Culture and Tourism Minister Lee Chang-dong, KASA president Lee Yeon-taek and 53 heads of national sports organizations.

After the ceremony, Minister Lee spoke with attending sporting figures on prospects for finishing within the top 10 in overall medal standings at the Athens Olympiad.
