The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell two-point-45 points, or point-11 percent, on Tuesday. It ended the day at two-thousand-183-point-61.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing two-point-80 points, or point-36 percent, to close at 778-point-39. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened four-point-eight won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-205-point-seven won.
