The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose eight-point-67 points, or point-44 percent, on Thursday. It ended the day at one-thousand-998-point-31.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining seven-point-26 points, or one-point-02 percent, to close at 716-point-02. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened point-six won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-230-point-nine won.
