The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 33-point-39 points, or one-point-76 percent, on Wednesday. It ended the day at one-thousand-928-point-76.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ gained 16-point-49 points, or two-point-57 percent, to close at 658-point-40. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened seven won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-222-point-one won.
