The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 18-point-58 points, or zero-point-98 percent, on Thursday. It ended the day at one-thousand-914-point-73.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining eight-point-63 points, or one-point-36 percent, to close at 643-point-79. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened two-point-five won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-229-point-seven won.
