The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 16-point-17 points, or point-84 percent, on Monday. It ended the day at one-thousand-898-point-36.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ gained three-point-03 points, or point-48 percent, to close at 637-point-82. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened two-point-six won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-220-point-five won.
