The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) soared 57-point-46 points, or three-point-09 percent, on Friday. It ended the week at one-thousand-914-point-53.

It was the first time in over a month that the benchmark index closed at above one-thousand-900 points.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining eleven-point-36 points, or one-point-82 percent, to close at 634-point-79. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened ten-point-eight won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-217-point-nine won.
