The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) gained 29-point-07 points, or one-point-61 percent, on Thursday. It ended the day at one-thousand-836-point-21.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining eight-point-58 points, or one-point-41 percent, to close at 615-point-95. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened one-point-four won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-219-point-five won.
