The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) lost 83-point-80 points, or three point-87 percent, on Monday. It ended the day at two-thousand-79-point-04.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing 28-point-70 points, or four-point-30 percent, to close at 639-point-29. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened eleven-point-zero won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-220-point-two won.
