The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) gained 22-point-05 points, or one percent, on Tuesday. It ended the day at two-thousand-223-point-12.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining six-point-27 points, or point-93 percent, to close at 682-point-34.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened five-point-five won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-181-point-six won.
