South Korea's short track ice skaters Choi Eun-gyung and Ahn Hyun-soo won gold medals in the 1,500-meter women's and men's short track category, respectively, during the Jeonju Short Track Ice Skating Championships Friday.
Choi Eun-gyung struck gold for the South Korean side first in the 1,500 meter women's short track final round, beating her Chinese rival Wang Wei.
Ahn Hyun-woo beat his Korean compatriot Song Suk-woo in the same category for men to claim the top spot in the event.
