South Korean slugger Lee Seung-yup arrived in Los Angeles on Tuesday amid reports that he may join the U.S. Major League as early as next week.

In a news conference at the Los Angeles International Airport, Lee said around three to four American baseball teams have expressed interest in scouting him. He added that he thinks he will get an official proposal during his stay in the U.S.

According to media reports, two strong candidate teams looking to acquire Lee are the Anaheim Angels and Los Angeles Dodgers.

The 26-year-old first baseman of the Samsung Lions set a new Asian home run record of 56 last season.
