S. Korea Beats Dominican Rep. in Women

South Korea defeated the Dominican Republic three to zero in the 2003 Women's World Cup Volleyball on Thursday in Osaka, Japan.

The Koreans now holds seventh place in team rankings, with an overall record of three wins and six losses.

China currently leads the group with eight wins, followed by Italy, Brazil and the United States, all tied with 7 wins and one loss, while host nation Japan has six wins and two losses.

12 teams are playing each other over 11 days, and the top three will claim places at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
